Summit brings global energy experts to Boise

Early registration is open for the Northwest Energy Innovation Summit to be held at Boise Centre on the Grove Jan. 12 through Jan. 14.  

The summit, being hosted by the WaterCooler in Boise, will bring together more than 30 industry leaders in innovation, research, corporate leadership, public policy and finance, including former CIA Director James Woolsey, GE Power and Energy President Steve Bolze, 2007 Nobel Peace Prize co-recipient Woodrow Clark II, Microsoft Managing Director Jon Arnold and others.

 

Panel topics will include Tech Transfer and Commercialization, Economic Development, Financing The Future and Emerging Technologies In Agriculture and Bio Sciences.

 

Organizers say over 200 senior executives, industry professionals and regional leaders will be in attendance, and 20 emerging Northwest companies will give presentations on breakthrough technologies, ideas and products.

 

Sponsored by Stoel Rives LLP; Booz, Allen, Hamilton; KMPG; Boise State University; the University of Idaho; Reuters; and the Idaho National Laboratory, the summit opens Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. and closes Jan. 13 at 5 p.m. The Jan. 14 entrepreneur’s showcase runs from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m.

 

Attendance costs $150 with an early registration discount which expires Dec. 15. Registration after Dec. 15 will cost $200 and will be open until Jan. 11.
