A Meridian-based company known for its innovative time tracking systems has just unveiled a feature that allows on-the-go workers to clock in and out simply by giving voice commands over their cell phones. TSheets – described on the company’s Web site as “an online timesheet system that turns any PC or mobile device into a time clock” – added the voice-command feature, called Jott, to further simplify time-keeping and provide an extra organization tool.

According to a release, to use the system workers call a specified number and say, “Hi TSheets. Clock me in under Job Code ‘Customer Meeting.’” Key words set the clock ticking, and Jott sends a confirmation via email or text message. To stop the clock, the user says “clock me out.” Jott also allows users to add notes or reminders using the voice-command system.

The company says TSheets can be set up in less than five minutes, eliminates paper timesheets and can be integrated with accounting software for payroll.
