The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality seeks public comment on a proposed “air quality permit to construct” for the aircraft interior refurbishing facility that Western Aircraft Inc. operates in Boise. The proposed permit will enable Western Aircraft to install a spray booth and prep station, and to regulate emissions from the proposed project. The department said in a release that the facility, under proposed conditions for the permit, “will not cause or significantly contribute to violation of any ambient air quality standard and will not injure or unreasonably affect human or animal life or vegetation.”
Written comments are due by 5 p.m. Mountain time June 2. Western Aircraft’s permit application can be viewed at http://www.deq.idaho.gov/Applications/NewsApp/checkNewsCache.cfm?news_id=2272.
