A world class kayak whitewater park and retail shop is being proposed in the Garden Valley area for construction sometime in the next year.

Southfork Landing and Cascade Raft have proposed the world-class whitewater course designed with obstacles, flows and currents to simulate river conditions and features. Corporate officials, while awaiting approval, claim the park could draw enthusiasts from all over the country.

Tom Long, Cascade Raft spokesman, stated, "We have been exploring a number of alternatives for expanding our rafting and kayaking operations during the last year. The combination of a world-class course and some of the best natural whitewater make a fantastic combination."
