How many pages in a tree?

    You know that fifth page of a five-page print-out? The one that has one line from the end of someone's e-mail signature and then a bunch of white space? Or just an html tag at the top and then blank space below? Those phantom final pages are an annoying reality of the Internet age, an age where going paperless isn't as easy as we all hoped it would be.

    One company, GreenPrint, is receiving a lot of attention for a simple piece of add-on software allowing users to eliminate that phantom page. The entire company is built around using 'green' concepts to help business function more efficiently. (Hat tip to Idaho blogger Jim Lyons, who wrote about the company.)
